Green Bay Packers vs. New York Jets
The Green Bay Packers and WPS Health Insurance paid special tribute to Army Sgt. 1st Class Jon Williams during the Packers-Jets game for Operation Fan Mail.
Jon, from Franklin, Ind., has been a lifelong Packers fan and since joining the Army, he has lived with his family in South Carolina, Hawaii, Arizona, Colorado, and Indiana. At the time of the game, he had been on active duty for a total of 14 years.
During his time on active duty, he had been deployed twice on year-long deployments to Afghanistan. He had also served as a drill sergeant and noncommissioned officer academy instructor. Jon was the noncommissioned officer in charge of the S2 shop, as well as an Army motorcycle safety instructor.
Jon attended the game with his wife, Cynthia, with whom he just celebrated 14 years of marriage, and their two daughters, Hannah and Kialey.
